All talks will be held in the State Farm Hall of Business (College of Business) COB 139 (Caterpillar Auditorium), and refreshments will be provided in the COB Atrium which is in the lower level.

Getting here

There are many ways to get to Normal, IL. Our central location makes it easily accessible by car, train, or flight.

BY CAR
  • Getting to Normal, IL by car is easy since it is located at the junction of Interstates I-55, I-39, and I-74: click here for directions. Note that we are about 3 hours by car from Chicago and St. Louis.

BY TRAIN
  • Amtrak has several frequent routes through Bloomington-Normal and is a great (and very economical) way to travel to Normal, IL.

BY AIR
  • Most major airlines fly to the Central Illinois Regional Airport. This serves the twin cities Bloomington and Normal, and the airport code is BMI.
  • Normal is also accesible directly from Chicago O'Hare or Midway airports by a regular shuttle bus service. Visit the Peoria Charter Coach website for the bus schedule and fare information. Under "Select a trip" you have to select "Daily service -- going south", and then select your travel date to see the schedule. The bus drops you at the Boone Student Center on the ISU campus.


Local information
  • Campus Map (Talks will be held in the State Farm Hall (College of business) COB 139 (Caterpillar Auditorium)
  • Parking options on campus:
    1. RED faculty/staff and GREEN commuter lots (not to include reserved spaces) have open parking from 7:00 pm Friday to 4:00 am Monday. One such lot is the F24 lot located off of Dale Street between South Main St. and South University Street. (See the ISU Campus Map.) Parking in this lot is free of charge, but is more of a walk to the entrance to the State Farm Hall (College of Business). (Walk East to University Street, then North and the State Farm Hall (College of Business) will be on your right.)
    2. There is a pay lot on South University Street between Hale Street and Dale Street, just south of the State Farm Hall (College of Business). (See the ISU Campus Map.) Parking rates are reasonable (under $1.00 per hour) and in the evening they stop collecting parking fees.

Some funds are available to support travel costs of participants, especially for graduate students and junior faculty without other support. Those who wish to receive travel assistance should send Robert Bruner (rrb@math.wayne.edu) an email with their name, institution, status (student, etc.) and expected travel costs, in advance of the meeting, so that resources can be fairly allocated.
