The Fall meeting of the Midwest Topology Seminar will be held at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday October 23. Please let us know if you are going to attend so that we can plan properly.

Directions

All talks will be held in State Hall 106. This building is at 5143 Cass Avenue, near the intersection with Putnam.

Most street parking in the vicinty is metered. We recommend that you park in Parking Structure 6 all day for $4.75. The entrance to this structure is on Putnam.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Downtown for Friday and Saturday nights. Click here to book a room. The negotiated rate is $99 (plus taxes) per night. Rooms will be held until October 1. The hotel is within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants and bars, and it is approximately 3.5 miles from Wayne State University. Valet parking is available at the hotel for $20 per day.

Travel

The local airport is Detroit Metro (DTW), which is approximately 20 miles from downtown Detroit or Wayne State University. The best way to reach downtown Detroit or Wayne State University from the airport is by airport shuttle, taxi, or rental car.
